getUBetter Enhances Women’s Pelvic Health Support in Line with Stakeholder Feedback
Bristol, UK – [09.07.2025] – getUBetter has released a major update to its Women’s Pelvic Health self-management package, designed to better support women across all stages of life. This update reflects what women and clinicians have told us they need. Developed in partnership with NHS stakeholders, patients, and clinicians, the expanded offer reflects real-world feedback and evolving system priorities across Integrated Care Systems (ICS) and NHS Women’s Health services.
Key enhancements to the Women’s Pelvic Health Package include:
- Expanded ‘Work’ Section
Updated information helps women manage pelvic health conditions at work, understand their rights, and have informed, confident conversations with their employers.
- New Mental Health Section
Based on insights from our local research, we found that 40% of women in South Yorkshire linked pelvic floor symptoms to mental health concerns. In response, we’ve expanded our existing resources to offer more accessible emotional wellbeing tools and practical support.
- Additional Sexual Dysfunction Support
New introductory content helps women understand and manage symptoms that are often stigmatised or poorly addressed.
- New Support for UTIs and Faecal Incontinence
Two commonly under-recognised issues now have dedicated sections, offering practical advice and self-management support which aligns to routine NHS care.
These enhancements reflect getUBetter’s integrated, patient-centred approach to digital health – grounded in clinical insight, behavioural science, and women’s real-world experiences.
“This update reflects what women and clinicians have told us they need,” said Louise Coates, Head of Product & Women’s Health at getUBetter. “By including topics like mental health, faecal incontinence, and sexual dysfunction, we’re making it easier for women to find clear, non-judgemental support on issues that are often overlooked. It’s about creating space for honest conversations, building confidence, and helping every woman feel equipped to manage her own health.”
The enhanced content supports national priorities, including the NHS Women’s Health Strategy and PPHS mandate, while continuing to deliver meaningful patient outcomes. Patient feedback highlights the app’s positive impact:
- 77% feel more confident performing pelvic floor exercises
- 67% feel better able to recognise when and where to seek medical help
- 23% say the app has helped them return to, or stay in, work
Now live across ICSs such as South West London, Surrey Downs, South Yorkshire, and Gloucestershire, getUBetter is supporting local systems to deliver more consistent, equitable, and accessible pelvic health care at scale.
