Empowering women’s health: getUBetter introduces their new personalised Pelvic Floor Trainer
getUBetter, a digital self-management support platform for women’s pelvic health, has introduced its new Pelvic Floor Trainer to empower women to make habit-forming changes that lead to better pelvic floor outcomes.
Pelvic floor dysfunction affects 1 in 3 women and is a hidden condition that is commonly normalised and misunderstood. Designed around patient safety, the Pelvic Floor Trainer has been created with pelvic floor experts, existing customers, and patients. It equips women with the skills to recognise symptoms of an overactive pelvic floor and guides them to pelvic floor relaxation techniques before, or alongside, completing pelvic floor exercises. What sets getUBetter’s Pelvic Floor Trainer apart from other solutions on the market is its unique, expert-led onboarding process to help women maximise the benefits of training. It helps them to safely identify their baseline, perform exercises correctly, and confidently modify sessions based on how they are feeling. The new feature seamlessly integrates within getUBetter’s comprehensive pathways tailored to a local health system. It offers safe self-management and advice to access additional support when needed.
“From our focus groups and discovery interviews, we know that when it comes to pelvic floor training, one size does not fit all” – said Louise Coates, Product Manager at getUBetter. “Our personalised onboarding process, combining tailored pelvic floor training with expert advice, ensures women feel empowered to make the right choices at the right time.”
getUBetter offers continuous support for women who experience worsening symptoms or may not see immediate improvement. With 24/7 access to tailored advice and answers to key patient concerns, it ensures ongoing care based on individual symptoms. The platform also provides progressive training to strengthen the pelvic floor, empowering women to return to sports and higher-level activities confidently.
Recognising the sensitive nature of a pelvic floor dysfunction, getUBetter has implemented discrete features. “We customised women’s experience so that they can choose the best way and time to receive reminders, making it easier to incorporate daily training” – added Louise.
Women can access the new feature by downloading the getUBetter app and selecting from the following options that are configured to their local pelvic floor pathway and services:
-
- Pelvic health
- Pelvic health in pregnancy
- Pelvic health after birth
With the Pelvic Floor Trainer, patients no longer need to invest in third-party trainers. They can access a holistic, all-in-one solution, within the getUBetter app, that supports their overall well-being beyond just pelvic floor exercises.
Currently, the Pelvic Floor Trainer focuses on women because it aligns with getUBetter’s existing pathways. getUBetter is in the process of developing a men’s health pathway and with it a specialised Pelvic Floor Trainer for men.
