getUBetter Launches Their New Menopause Support Module

getUBetter, a leading digital self-management platform for women’s pelvic health, has expanded its offering to include a new support module for women going through menopause. getUBetter users will be able to access information on the stages, symptoms, and diagnosis of menopause, as well as guidance on how to manage changes and care for their health.
Everyone who menstruates will eventually go through menopause. Three out of four women experience symptoms related to menopause, and around one in four will have severe symptoms. Since symptoms often last for about seven years, having access to accurate information and support helps women make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing. Understanding the changes in their bodies and knowing the range of available support options enables women to navigate this transition with confidence and on their own terms.
The new menopause support module addresses these challenges by providing:
- Information on Menopause Stages and Symptoms: Insights into menopause stages, body changes, and common symptoms.
- Guidance on Patient Concerns: Addressing frequently asked questions and including how to recognise perimenopause, its effects, and when to seek help.
- Medication Options: A walkthrough of treatment options to help women prepare for discussions with healthcare professionals.
- Self-Management Strategies: Practical advice on lifestyle changes, emotional support, physical activity, and symptom tracking.
- Access to Local Services: Links to local services and national resources for further assistance.
“The launch of the menopause module reflects our commitment to supporting women through education and self-management tools,” said Louise Coates, getUBetter’s Head of Product and Women’s Health. “By providing accessible, personalised, and reliable resources, we aim to empower women going through menopause with knowledge about symptoms, treatment options, and lifestyle strategies. Our goal is to reduce stigma, improve health outcomes, and bridge gaps in care for those who may lack access to healthcare professionals or community support,” she added.
Women can access menopause support by downloading the getUBetter app and selecting the Pelvic Health pathway tailored to their locality. All content is available in 14 languages, with audio options for greater accessibility.
This new addition complements getUBetter’s existing support for conditions such as prolapse, stress urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, and pelvic pain. The platform is also developing targeted support for menstruation to complete its comprehensive women’s pelvic health offering and provide support throughout a woman’s life course.
