Junior Product Owner

Pay scale: £40,000 – £50,000 dependent on level of relevant experience.

  • Hybrid working options to split week between 3 days at the office (in Bristol) and 2 days remote/home working.

Our mission is to guide people to effectively self-manage and only use healthcare services when it is going to benefit them.  This improves outcomes for people and helps the NHS to be as efficient as possible.  

To support this, we are looking for a Junior Product Owner to join our growing Product team.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Junior Product Owner your mission is to: 

  • Support the development of the product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with the Product Manger to translate their vision into product requirements.
  • Set sprint goals with outcome-based success metrics.
  • Write user stories and define acceptance criteria.
  • Define the success metrics and own our analytics framework.
  • Capture, investigate and prioritise business issues, bugs, and requirement.
  • Manage the product backlog, prioritising tickets based on the changing needs of the business.
  • Lead the product team throughout each sprint cycle by managing tickets and workflows in Jira, leading the testing cycle and packaging sprint releases.
  • Ensure business stakeholders are aware of the release changes, features and have adequate training.
  • Review the release impact by closely monitoring success metrics, highlighting concerns or opportunities to the product team.
  • Monitor the voice of the customer, using this data to influence the roadmap and prioritise the backlog.
  • Implement and improve processes in the product team by holding sprint retrospectives and collaborating.

 

Experience we’re looking for 

  • At least 12 months experience within a Junior Product Owner or similar role in product management.
  • Experience of managing development backlogs.
  • Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
